Carriage Clock, Push Repeat & Numbered Case.
A fine example of a ‘Satin’ gilt cased carriage clock of good size and proportions with original outer protective leather covered case numbered to match clock. This clock benefits from a large clear white dial showing Roman numerals and Arabics for the Alarm dial. A good size oval top glass to view the original silvered platform and lever escapement. The clock has a pleasant gong strike on the hours and half hours and will run for a week per wind. Also with push repeating on demand and of course alarm function. We think this is made by Richard & Co who opened in London in 1857 at 24 Cannon Street. In the bottom left corner it’s numbered 11233 which is also stamped in gilt to the bottom of the Outer case. Dating to around 1890-1900. This is just one of the clocks from our collection for sale. Sold with a full 24 month guarantee.
