Paul Garnier – Jacot

A good example of a Paul Garnier carriage clock with alarm function . The dial is signed by Paul Garnier and the back of the dial plate is stamped Henri Jacot in the classic Oval. The gilt case is in superb condition. The bevelled glass is all in good order with only a minor mark on the top glass. The maker Paul Garnier is the Son of ‘the’ Paul Garnier who was responsible for the development of the early carriage clock industry which in turn spawned makers like Henri Jacot who ironically ended up supplying Garnier!
