Parisian Mantel Clock
A fine decorative French mantel clock striking hourly and half hourly on a coiled gong. The vitreous enamelled dial showing Roman numerals, fine fret cut hands of gilt brass, and a cast brass decorative bezel surround with bevelled convex glass. The case is in remarkable condition for its age and retains a very good colour, a very deep red and glossy finish . The Ormolu mounts are the original fire gilt and the bracket feet are just as bright. Made in Paris around 1890 stamped and numbered. The clock strikes one at one and so on with the half hour always just a single blow.
