Omega Seamaster 300 – 1966
A very good example of the classic dive watch. The Seamaster 300 by Omega became a true ‘tool’ watch of the Special forces, the Royal Navy, Deep sea workers and civilians alike. The large triangle at 12 on these 66 models are quite rare and in our opinion the non date, large triangle, gilt is the best combination. The original bakelite bezel is not perfect but as you would expect on these 50+year watches. The case is also unpolished with ‘dings’ here and there but 100% original, even the crystal is the original with small logo to the center. The dial had very poorly applied Radium lume which was common with these and we had a lume expert apply in the correct way ‘puffy’ and use ‘fast fade’ to help with the original look. The watch also comes with the Extract from the Archives of Omega showing it was sold in the UK on October 3, 1966, these are important to have with the 60’s Seamasters and cost around £100! It will be supplied with a NATO strap in Cream and black stripe which we feel works well with it and also a grey military style NATO as well as the original S/Steel Omega strap. If you are looking for a daily wearer, a watch that already has patina and character and not a watch to hide away in a safe, this might just be the perfect watch!
