A carriage timepiece of very small proportions with the original outer leather case in remarkable condition, most probably as it has been stored in its case. Stamped - Velme - to the base and to the movement. Signed Robin to the dial. Robin a Paris was a retailer and maker of fine clocks throughout the 19th and 20th Century's. This little timepiece has an enamel dial showing finely pierced and gilded hands and Roman numerals. The case is the original gilt finish and has the original gilt key with the outer original case. Velme was a supplier of high quality timepieces to the prestigious retailers of the period and this dates to around 1910.
