Valjoux 7765, grey fume dial with charcoal sub dials, applied steel baton hour markers, pointed steel hour and minute hands with luminous inserts, steel chronograph hands, date aperture at 3 oclock, inner tachymeter bezel, screw down case back, dial signed, on a non-original Blue-Black leather strap with pin buckle. The watch looks unworn, new-old stock. It does not have the original Box and papers but will be supplied with a good quality box and of course our 18 month guarantee. An outstanding example from around 1979!The dial colour is difficult to see on the computer monitor but is an Indigo Blue colour with 3 chrono sub dials in blue as well. The perforated sports strap has a blue background which compliments it quite well.

The Autavia was the first watch introduced under the leadership of Jack Heuer (the new CEO) in 1962, taking its name from 'Automotive' and 'Aviation'. The watch is now fully overhauled and the untouched dial is still very dark, near black, the lume is good too. The movement is the Calibre 11, GMT, the watch will be supplied with the Beige Suede two stitch,the Red/Blue Nato strap shown and also a new Leather perforated sports strap. Serial Number 205434.  This watch also comes with the original bezel (RARE) as seen in the picture.

]]> A superb, large Heuer Autavia GMT with date, ref-1163 circa 1970, Automatic. The Autavia was the first watch introduced under the leadership of Jack Heuer (the new CEO) in 1962, taking its name from ‘Automotive’ and ‘Aviation’. The watch is now fully overhauled and the untouched dial is still very dark, near black (not faded to brown). The lume is good too. The movement is the fine Calibre 11, GMT, the watch will be supplied with the Red/Blue Nato strap shown and also a new Leather perforated sports strap. (This model was often sold with ‘Leatherette’ type strap which unfortunately perishes) Serial Number 205434.

The movement is the classic Valjoux 7734 with 17 jewels, a true 'workhorse'. The dial is near mint. The case is unpolished and original. If you would like the outer case restored this can be arranged but keeping this original will add to it's value.
