A very good example of a classic Henri Jacot carriage clock with push repeat. To the underside of the baseplate is stamped the serial number 8861, dating it to around 1890. The dial is in perfect condition with no cracks or blemishes, and the case has a beautiful glowing finish, having only just been re-gilded after coming into our shop. The glass is in excellent condition, with the exception of one tiny chip to the rear door glass next to the handle. The Jacot movement has been fully serviced and runs brilliantly, striking on a gong the hours and half hours, with the push repeat button to chime the most recent hour. A fine clock.

A fine 'gorge' cased carriage clock by the famous Henri Jacot with push repeat. Serial number 12541 and stamped between the plates with the Henri Jacot oval stamp and the H.J.Parrot stamp to the backplate. The clock retains its original high quality silvered platform and jewelled lever escapement and strikes on a soft French gong for the hours and half hours. Repeat function can be depressed at any time and will repeat the last hour. The enamel dial features Roman numerals with the typical inner Jacot ring and the original blued steel hands. The rear of the dial is signed with the H.J. this was painted on by the dial makers and numbered to match the clock. Thick bevelled glass to all sides. A fine substantial clock and good investment grade Jacot.
It's worth noting that all our clocks are fully restored and fully guaranteed.
Please remember we are closed Sundays and Mondays, open every other day from 9am until 5pm

A large carriage clock in a gilt 'gorge' case which was retailed by Brock of 218 George Street and Portman Square, London. Brock was a retailer of very high quality clocks of the period - mid to late Victorian, and this clock dates to around 1870 and has the oval stamp between the plates showing Jacot's 1855 and 1862 Medaille Exp' Uni'. The dial is free of chips or hairlines. The beautiful movement has now been fully overhauled and strikes the hour on a bell with one blow of the bell for the half hours. The silvered Jewelled lever escapement has a 18000 beat count per hour, with fine 'Moon' or Breguet style hands. If you are looking for a reasonably priced and fully restored Henri Jacot produced carriage clock with low serial number (751) this could be the right clock!
