					<description><![CDATA[<p>A fine miniature carriage timepiece made and retailed by Asprey of London. The case is solid silver and in near perfect condition, with a gilt interior and an angular 'deco' style handle. Hallmarked for Charles &#38; George Asprey for 1901. Sitting on silver bun feet, it stands 9cm high with the handle extended. The dial is in good condition with neat, wide Roman numerals and is signed Asprey, London. Adjusted and wound from the rear. Running for a week on a full wind. In 1889, the business was renamed C &#38; G.E <span role="tooltip"><span class="c5aZPb" role="button" data-enable-toggle-animation="true" data-extra-container-classes="ZLo7Eb" data-hover-hide-delay="1000" data-hover-open-delay="500" data-send-open-event="true" data-theme="0" data-width="250" data-ved="2ahUKEwimzL_gmpGDAxU4XEEAHVIiBYgQmpgGegQIFxAD"><span class="JPfdse" data-bubble-link="" data-segment-text="Asprey">Asprey</span></span></span>, despite Charles (II) not retiring until 1891. The last name change of the nineteenth century was in 1900, where the business became known as Asprey &#38; Co. In 1906, Asprey bought out their business competitors, and neighbours, Houghton &#38; Gunn. Sold fully overhauled and with a 24 Month Guarantee.</p>
