Regency Longcase Clock

A superb of example of possibly the most elegant Longcase clock design of all time. The Regency longcase with round convex dial. This particular example is made by the Mayfair clockmakers Dwerrihouse & Carter of Berkeley square. The backplate of the movement is signed (engraved) with their name too. The original convex dial with original enamel is signed by the Makers and has very elegant Regency period original hands. The clock is wound once a week and strikes the hours on a bell. The very ‘figured’ flame mahogany case is perfectly proportioned and retains the original double plinth to the base.
